Wild Goose Zen Sangha
The Wild Goose Sangha is made up of people who are committed to the practice of Zen meditation.
The name is taken from the Celtic spiritual tradition that sees a wild goose as a metaphor for the divine creator. This is because of its total determination and faithfulness. Those of the sangha are similarly dedicated to their practice as best they can.

The Sangha was founded by Patrick Kundo Eastman Roshi Roman Catholic priest and also a Zen teacher in the Zen White Plum Asanga, an international association of Zen teachers begun in the United States by Taizan Maezumi Roshi.
Now in his 80s, Kundo Roshi has passed on the direction of the Wild Goose Zen Sangha in 2020 to Christopher Ryushin Collingwood Roshi, who is also the teacher of the York Zen Group. Although Kundo Roshi had stepped back from active leadership of the Sangha, he was still a much-loved and wise guiding presence for the whole Sangha, always available for anyone who wished to be in touch with him. Sadly he died peacefully in his sleep on the 6th of September 2023 at the age of 85 ,he will be hugely missed by so many.
